Square coin capsules, known as "slabs" in technical jargon, have become the standard for coin storage in international numismatics. The rectangular containers are made of hard plastic and are considered particularly practical because they can be stacked comfortably. In Germany, too, there are more and more coin collectors who rely on this innovative and clever form of coin storage.
However, the slabs are now not only available for coins, gold bars can also be stored in the rectangular capsules. Leuchtturm has developed a slab especially for gold bars, which is precisely adapted to the shape of the gold bar. The bar can thus be placed in the insert without jerking, after which the slab is closed. The gold piece can be admired in all its glory through the transparent capsule.
